As part of Black History Month, KEPKAA invites you to the Jean Jean Roosevelt concert, which pays tribute to Jean-Jacques Dessalines (1758-1806), the first emperor of Haiti.
Through a bouquet of songs and music marked by Creole rhythms, reggae, RnB, and Afro-beat with modern sounds, singer Jean Jean Roosevelt invites you on a historical journey to pay tribute to Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the man who dared to invent freedom for the well-being of his people and for the oppressed of the Earth.
During the month of February, find a program that honors the heritage of Black people in Canada and their communities. Come celebrate Black History Month with KEPKAA – International Committee for the Promotion of Creole and Literacy, and its guests.
