Les journées thématiques de l'Observatoire des communautés noires du Québec

The Afro Youth Summit invites you to the thematic meetings organized by its Quebec Black Communities Observatory, taking place from January 20 to 24, 2025, at 3332 Rue Jarry E, Montreal.

These meetings offer a unique opportunity to discuss the challenges and resilience of Black communities in Quebec. Through research presentations, expert panels, and workshops, we aim to provide a space for constructive exchanges.

The thematic meetings program is as follows:

• Monday, January 20: Health - Accessibility to healthcare and social services for Black communities
• Tuesday, January 21: Culture - The invisibility of Black artists, resilience, and resistance through action-research
• Wednesday, January 22: Justice - The housing crisis in Black communities
• Thursday, January 23: Economy - Housing for Black people in Quebec: access, challenges, and experiences
• Friday, January 24: Education - Racial discrimination in Quebec schools: a study on Black students and their educational experiences

The sessions will run from 9 AM to 4 PM. Please consult our detailed program and register to confirm your participation.
