In light of the lack of data on Afro-descendant entrepreneurs, this study aims to fill a significant gap by mapping and providing a detailed portrait of businesses owned or led by members of Black communities. The study has a dual objective: to analyze the motivations, key obstacles, and challenges faced by these entrepreneurs while highlighting gaps and best practices developed to overcome these challenges.
The findings will be unveiled during an event that promises to be both insightful and conducive to constructive exchanges. The subsequent discussion will focus on the theme “Entrepreneurship within Black Communities: Journeys, Experiences, and Perspectives”, providing a valuable platform for Afro-descendant entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to share their experiences and explore innovative solutions to the identified challenges.
