In this hard-hitting autofiction, Penda Diouf, an Afro-French author, flies to Namibia; where her “small” story meets the "big" history, there where learning domination is not done by the “I”, but by the “we”. Inspired by the decolonial thinking, and surrounded by a team almost entirely composed of racialized non binary people and women, director Natalie Fontalvo combines performative acting, live music, textile art and video installation, to make the Afro-descendant body resonate. A real and figurative body, its wounds, its scars, its perpetual quest for light. To understand our neighbors, those who seek refuge, those who immigrate, it is perhaps necessary to listen to the ghosts that haunt the deserts of Namibia…
