
The “Our Roots, Our Stories: A Heroic Journey” (Young Adult Edition) project is a major educational and cultural initiative designed to coincide with Black History Month.
It offers a series of interactive workshops, inspiring lectures, and artistic and digital creative activities specifically tailored for young adults aged 15 to 24. It offers a series of interactive workshops,

audience of young adults aged 15 to 24. The central objective is to promote and deepen knowledge of the history,
significant contributions, and heritage of Black communities, both in Canada and globally.
This project is strategically aligned with the objectives of the Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program
(MCRP) – Canadian Heritage Events component. It aims to actively promote the recognition of cultural diversity,
stimulate intercultural dialogue, and raise critical awareness of systemic racism, thereby contributing to
building a more inclusive and equitable Canada.
