“I love wounds. What they leave in us, what they leave on us. What they say about us.
An Afro-descendant woman born and raised in France, Penda Diouf flies all the way to Namibia, where her “little” story meets the big one, where learning to dominate is not a matter of “I”, but of “we”.
To understand our neighbors, those who seek refuge, those who immigrate, it may be necessary to listen to the ghosts that haunt the deserts of Namibia.
Theatrical score, performance art, live music, textile art and video installation are brought together to make the Afrodescendant body resonate in this piece in the tradition of decolonial thought.
