Multidisciplinary artist Kama La Mackerel presents her interdisciplinary arts exhibition Rituel du corps île, poésie du corps queer, with the support of the Conseil des Arts de Montréal en tournée.
<<The artist, delighted to have secured this partnership, emphasizes the important role that maisons de la culture play in the democratization of art in our society. Ms. La Mackerel recalls that she herself couldn't afford to attend plays when she arrived in Montreal in 2012. In her opinion, the maisons de la culture break down these inequalities and give everyone access to art, something she particularly appreciates. >> (Catule, 2024)
We look forward to continuing this conversation together, around ecology, decolonial narratives and our deep ties to water and territories.
