Tribùt: The Third Solitude – A Unique Immersive Experience in Montréal-Nord for Black History Month
Impulsion-Travail and Tribùt are proud to collaborate on the third edition of this unique event in Montréal-Nord. Discover the history, struggles, and contributions of Black communities worldwide between 1925 and 1975. This era was marked by civil rights struggles, but also by social emancipation movements and a strong assertion of identity that transformed Black communities globally. It will also be a unique opportunity to explore the parallels in the identity quest of Québec and Black communities worldwide.
Tribùt 2025 returns on February 1st at CÉGEP Marie-Victorin, as part of Black History Month, with a new immersive experience inviting the public to uncover a lesser-known aspect of our collective history. Through captivating storytelling, multimedia projections, and artistic performances, Tribùt creates a space for dialogue between the past and present.
The concept of "The Third Solitude" is based on the idea that beyond the two traditional solitudes – French-speaking and English-speaking – there exists another reality: that of Black communities, often left out of official narratives. Tribùt 2025 invites the public to reflect on these dynamics of inclusion, highlighting the journeys, struggles, and contributions of Black people over the decades.
A Diverse and Captivating Artistic Program
Tribùt 2025 brings together a series of performances that combine art, music, dance, and storytelling. Among the artists and groups featured are the Rootine Troupe, Bonga, Bella Forté, Kayiri, and the Gospel Inclusion Choir, directed by Ludovic Dubé, who will present vibrant performances.
An Immersive Adventure for the Whole Family
The goal of Tribùt is to allow families to experience a cultural adventure where history and art meet to inspire reflection and awakening.
