Chocolate Babies est un film américain de 1996 réalisé par Stephen Winter. Le film suit un groupe d'activistes queer racisés à New York qui ont mis en œuvre des actions contre des politiciens conservateurs en réponse à l'épidémie de sida dans les années 1990, au sein des communautés afro-américaines.
Lors de cet évènement, nous discuterons avec Stephen Winter des thématiques de ce film, qui demeurent d'actualité, de nos jours.

The 14th edition of the Massimadi Afro LGBTQ+ Film and Arts Festival presents a Live Discussion with Stephen Winter, director of film "Chocolate Babies".
Chocolate Babies is an american movie that was directed by Stephen Winter. The movie follows an underground band of HIV-positive, queer, urban, genderqueer, activists of color who is making headlines in New York City. In an effort to expose political corruption surrounding the AIDS epidemic, these urban guerrillas stage a series of surprise attacks against conservative politicians whom they believe are collecting secret lists of HIV-positive individuals.
During this event, we will be discussing with Stephen Winter about the still relevant themes of the movie.
