BiAS Foundation event @fondationbias, presented as part of Black History Month, which will be in its third year in 2026.
Conceived as a critical retrospective of current events, Déjà-Vu offers a counter-current reinterpretation of local and international news stories that marked the year, through the eyes of columnists and analysts from Black communities.
In this exercise in deliberate dechronology, a dozen panelists will review and comment on the news stories that particularly caught their attention, but above all those that have most served or harmed our communities and deserve to remain in our collective memory.
Déjà-Vu is a space for reflection, transmission, and perspective, where current events are revisited not only for what they were, but for what they continue to mean. Admission is free, but registration is required. This accessibility is made possible thanks to the support of CBC/Radio-Canada and BAnQ.
