This event leverages virtual reality experiences, documentary storytelling, and expert dialogue to explore the contributions of Black nurses, systemic inequities in healthcare, and opportunities to advance culturally responsive and anti-racist practices in Quebec’s health system.

Objectives:

• Build empathy and awareness of systemic bias in healthcare through immersive VR experiences.
• Highlight historical and contemporary contributions of Black nurses via documentary storytelling.
• Facilitate expert-led discussion on transforming healthcare culture, policies, and practice.

Expected Outcomes

• Participants gain first-hand immersive experience of systemic bias and nursing realities.
• Historical and contemporary contributions of Black nurses are highlighted and contextualized.
• Expert insights and audience engagement generate actionable recommendations for culturally responsive care.
• Event serves as a demonstration of VR as a training and awareness tool for healthcare equity.
