Come celebrate Black History Month by learning to play the djembe, a musical instrument with a rich and ancient history! You will be accompanied by Sadio Sissokho from the Centre des Musiciens du Monde, a Senegalese musician belonging to the griot caste. A griot is a musician, a storyteller, the memory of the village who teaches the history of his people through songs and proverbs. Come immerse yourself in the world of African percussion with him! This project is funded by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration and the City of Montreal.
